Adventures of Gaidin Palin

GeoCaching, WayMarking, LetterBoxing, and BookCrossing Adventures of Gaidin Pallin (that would be me).

First Travel Bug

We went geocaching again as a family on the 4th of July. It was lots of fun. We found a travel bug in a cache behind a Kohl’s store. We plan to drop it off in Stone Mountain in the next couple of weeks. The goal is for it to get to the Atlantic then back to Texas.

Finally found it

We went GeoCaching again as a family on Saturday. Finally found the first traditional cache I tried to find. We also hit a couple of nano-caches near home.

Let Mom rest - GeoCaching trip

I took the kids out to locate some caches in Hiram and let sick mom rest some. Found the caches and had some fun at the Strickland park in Hiram.

Day of Caching

Well we loaded the rest of the caches in the Paulding Meadows park to the GPS, the kids into the truck and went a hiking. Lots of fun. Found all three caches, one of which was a multi-stage cache. Kinda give you the feel of a treasure hunter. Maybe a kinship to Nicolas Cage as Ben Gates in the National Treasure movies.

Found first Standard Cache

The Family and I went out on Monday (Presidents Day) and found a very well hid cache in the Paulding Meadows County park. The Cache is actually called Paulding Meadows.

This Cache was very well hidden and we had fun wandering around the forest for about 30 minutes before my wife literally stumbled across it.

GeoCaching Family Fun

The whole family visited two GeoCaches this weekend. Lots of fun and the kids really got into it. They now want to create our own GeoCache to hide ourselves.

The first one we visited was a multi-cache. Lots of fun. Then we stopped by another one as we where in the area anyway.

My first GeoCache find

On our way to the Church for an activity Saturday morning we stopped by a micro-cache that is really close. It was fun for the whole family. Didn’t get a picture.
